SIMON CARMODY - Editor

Simon Carmody was born and raised in Sydney, Australia, where he worked as an advertising stills photographer, until moving to New Orleans in 2001. There he began working with Côte Blanche Productions; credits include: The Man Who Came Back, 2007 (editor, 2nd unit director), a feature length, Southern-Gothic Western; American Creole: New Orleans reunion 2006 (editor), a nationally broadcast, PBS feature-length doc (winner; silver & bronze Telly awards). In 2008 Simon attended the American Film Institute’s MFA Editing program, collaborating on the award winning thesis films, Thule, 2011 (editor), and Dead Grass, Dry Roots, 2011 (editor). Since graduating from AFI, Simon has collaborated on various feature films, television and new media projects, including Reign, 2011, and Bryan Clauson: Road to Indy, 2011. Simon now lives & works as a storyteller in Hollywood, California.
