Aaron Wolf is a director, actor and writer based in Los Angeles. An honors graduate from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, he is the co-founder of Howling Wolf Productions

Aaron’s narrative films include the award-winning Guest House, starring Michael Gross (Family Ties, Tremors, Suits) and Heather Lind (Boardwalk Empire, Turn, Demolition) and The Walk, in which Wolf co-starred with Oscar- and Emmy-nominee Peter Riegert (Animal House, Crossing Delancey, the upcoming American Pastoral).  Currently, Wolf is in post-production on the feature film, TAR, a thriller about an ancient creature who lives within the La Brea Tar Pits and is awoken by the construction of a new subway. Wolf stars alongside Oscar nominees Timothy Bottoms (Last Picture Show, The Paper Chase), Graham Greene (Dances With Wolves, The Green Mile, Longmire)  and Max Perlich (Cliffhanger, Maverick).

Wolf is set to premiere the feature documentary, Restoring Tomorrow, at theaters around the country in the coming months. A four-year project documenting the $150-million restoration of the Los Angeles landmark, Wilshire Boulevard Temple, which was originally built by the studio moguls who created Hollywood, the film also captures Wolf’s personal journey of re-connection with the congregation, his community and his religion. He becomes something of a microcosm for his generation, who have so often drifted from their roots but can find new meaning in the powerful legacies that have been handed to them by their ancestors. The film and Aaron’s journey have received extensive coverage in publications such as The Los Angeles Times, Tablet Magazine and The Times of Israel.

Aaron’s and Howling Wolf Productions’ other work includes writing, directing and starring in projects for Warner Brothers, writing a theatrical film for The Walt Disney Studios, a documentary for DreamWorks and co-hosting and co-directing sports shows on the Dodgers and Clippers for Cox TV. Wolf has also done documentaries for The Museum of Tolerance and Jewish World Watch, and commercials for software giant Adobe, Lucky Brand, Microsoft, youth soccer program Super Soccer Stars and Landmark College. He has directed indie pilots, including a partnered pilot with animation studio Six Point Harness, a film for the University of Southern California and worked with David Talbert on the screenplay for the Fox Searchlight feature, Baggage Claim. Aaron also studied and worked with the improv comedy troupe The Groundlings.
